Coach Les Whatley  Team Magic Alabama Coach and triathlete Les Whatley walks you through the A-Z of triathlon from the Beginner perspective.  New and novice racers are welcome to join us!

9:45-10:30 am: Bike Fit:

Cahaba Cycles and Homewood Cycles and Fitness: Faris Malki General body position of a typical tri fitted bike, starting with the foot/pedal relationship and moving through the fit process including body geometry, flexability and body structure.

10:45-11:30 am: Massage for Athletes:

Massage Therapist: John McDole will discuss the benefits of massage therapy for athletes.

11:45-12:45 pm The Nutrition Transition:

Laura Fiveash  Improve your triathlon performance by using Nutrition as a tool.  Review some basic information about fuel, optimize your basic training diet, and develop your race-day nutrition.

1:00pm - 1:45 Tri Gear, What Works?

Bob's Bikes   For the novice to the expert-Learn about the latest gear that will increase your performance and comfort.  Hands on demonstration and products.

2pm-2:45pmSwimming

USAT Certified Coaches Les Whatley & Sherry Colgin Discussion and Demostration of proper swim techniques.  Tips and drills to improve your stroke.

3pm- 3:45 Run Segment:

Team in Training Coach Ken Harkless The running clinic will cover the fundamentals of proper movement and basic running to improve performance and prevent injury.

4pm-4:45pm Wrapping Up: 

Therese Bynum, Team Magic Inc.  Therese will talk about her 23 years of race experience as an athlete and co-owner of Team Magic , Inc.  She will also cover the upcoming Team Magic 2008 race season!
